Tropical Adventure

DAY 1:

Arrive and transfer to the, UWEC Bandas/ Service Flats for BB.

DAY 2:

Begin the spectacular drive north, through many small towns of Luwero and Nakasongola the site of liberation guerrilla war that brought the present government of Uganda to power,   visit the Ziwa  Rhino sanctuary, then to Masindi for lunch. We continue to Murchison falls national park. Check in any of the lodges on the Nile banks. For, overnight and dinner.
Enjoy   a wild dinner, under the stars and afterwards, lose yourself in the fascinating sounds of the wilderness. FB

DAY 3:

Early morning game drive in the Nile, Lake Albert Delta area, to look for lion, leopard Elephant, buffalo and many more, up to 11.00am if we are lodging on the southern bank of the Nile river, and 12.00pm if lodging on the northern bank, then come back for lunch and later enjoy a boat trip to the base of the mighty Murchison falls ( captivating feature) and hike to the top of the falls -later returns to camp for a barbeque /dinner and enjoy some captivating folklore and legendary African stories, at the camp fire.


DAY 4:

Drive south to Hoima- through the rift valley and Bugungu wildlife reserve, overnight in the crater field of Toro kingdom( Fort Portal) our launch Pad to Chimpanzee tracking, crater field exploration, swamp walks, semuliki excursion and many more.

Day 5


 In the morning we visit homesteads,/crater lakes /and swamps, with lots of scenery, birds and varied cultural life in this area.  In the Afternoon we go chimp tracking- in Kibale national park, an alluring activity where you meet your closest DNA primate  cousins. It’s a memorable experience. Overnight  at any the lodges/camps around Kibale national park.


DAY 6:

After breakfast (with packed lunch) we drive to Semuliki valley national park for a mid morning forest walk and hot springs exploration,- in the Afternoon we transfer Queen Elizabeth National Park, for overnight at any of lodges on the Kichwamba Escapement overlooking the Rift valley.


DAY 7:

Morning game drive to the Kasenyi sector, to look for lions Uganda kobs and Buffalo, back to the lodge,  in the afternoon we go for boat ride on the Kazinga channel and late evening game drive on the Mweya peninsula

DAY 8:

Drive to Bwindi/ Mgahinga national parks- the home of the gentle giants in the mist, the mountain gorillas, through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park- the home of Africa’s only tree climbing lions- that we sought out then proceed to the “Switzerland of Africa”, with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi/Mgahinga gorilla national parks for overnight.


DAY 9:

Early morning, with packed lunch, you go for, Gorilla tracking an experience that will automatically thrill you and the highlight of this trip. if you track  for whole day, you have to rest at the camp, if you are lucky and do it in half day, then we go for a community walk before dinner, Return to the camp for a much needed rest and dinner after which, sit back and be entertained by local community traditional dancers.


DAY 10:

In the mid morning, we drive through the Kigezi highlands enjoying the scenery arriving at Lake Bunyonyi, (one the High altitude lakes in The world) for a late afternoon lunch, and overnight at any of the islands or beach resorts.  


DAY 11:

You will spend the day relaxing, with lots of optional activities, like swimming in Bilharzia free  Lake Bunyonyi,visiting the communities, or just a bird watching hike around the Island, apart from visiting communities, all the rest are free of charge.


DAY 12:

After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Lunch will be at Igongo cultural centre, and a museum visit before a late afternoon game drive, before we break for the day at any of the varied lodges and camps in or outside the park.
Day 13:

Early morning game drive, and after lunch boat ride before visiting the cattle homesteads.  

DAY 14:

After breakfast,  drive towards, Kampala city, if we did not see, the shoebill stork the we   go to look for it in  Mabamba/ Makanaga  swamp on the fringes of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake and the world’s 2nd biggest  – overnight at Uganda wildlife education centre (UWEC) if time allows explore the Entebbe nightlife,


Day 15: Early morning   UWEC exploration, have breakfast and go for curio shopping in either Entebbe and Kampala, before we check in at the airport.
