3 DAYS MURCHISON FALLS CONSERVATION AREA SAFARI

This is the largest parks in Uganda split into two parts by the famous Biblical River Nile- the longest river on earth.

This park was named after the most captivating waterfalls you have ever seen, Which got it’s name from once the president of the Royal Geographical society, that sponsored sir Samuel Baker a 19th century British explorer.
As earlier stated it’s divided by the longest river on earth. From the southern bank to the margins of Budongo forest( largest mahogany forest) to the shores of Lake Albert, were royal hunting grounds of Bunyoro- a kingdom that was so influential in the shaping of present day Uganda. From lush Mosaic woodland both in the Albertine rift valley and;on the Bunyoro escapement to the top of Murchison falls where water cascades through a narrow 7 meter gorge, falling 45M down the escapement creating energy beyond explanation to form the devil’s caldron. The only place where it “rains from down”, where rainbows are a standard mark throughout the day.

The Northern part of the park comprises of open savannah and dotted with borassus palm, and whistling thorn acacia, with wide stretching aquatic vegetation on the Victoria Nile Delta area. All this harbor variety of animals and bird life. This is an area for game viewing and photography.

Game drives to Nile delta open savanah dotted with Borasuss palm are enchantingl, Plus a three hour launch cruise from Paraa the bottom of the falls, is an ecstasy and enjoyable, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephant waterbucks and many water birds, you wrap the excercise with a hike to the top of the falls with great breath taking scenic views and feel the power of the mighty Nile squeezing through a 10 meter gap tumbling to the rift floor.
Bird watchers who love to hear and see different birds singing, swimming, eating, playing, nesting and relaxing have to take a special boat towards the associated swamps along the Albert delta and to Pakwach Bridge following the Nile.
