The Albertine Rift valley is a place with many endemic wildlife species and is home Uganda’s most national parks.

Day 1

Arrival and transfer to Uganda wildlife education centre for briefing and overnight.

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park through Masindi, lunch at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary after tracking the rhinos. Overnight at Kabalega wilderness lodge

Day3

Early morning birding plus, game drive, we will see lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, warthogs, giraffes, buffalo, and antelopes. Short lunch break and go on a launch / boat cruise to the base of the falls see Crocodiles, hippos and lots of water birds.

Day 4

Early morning drive to Kibale National Park, Fort Portal, at the base of the mountains of the moon, home to the highest concentration of primates’ species in Africa, lots of Albertine endemic birds and a spectacular collection of crater lakes. Lunch @ royal cottages, overnight in the crater region of Kasenda/Rutete

Day 5

Early morning chimp /primate tracking, Plus birding, then in the afternoon go for bird watching.

Day 6

Early morning drive to semuliki National Park at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains, lunch Fort Portal, and then relocate to Queen Elizabeth national Park in the late afternoon. Late evening game drive, overnight- Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day7

Early morning drive to see what the park with the highest concentration of wildlife species per square kilometer in East Africa offers; you can’t miss the tree climbing lions, and a memorable volume of bird life and antelopes-greater and lesser flamingo African black duck short tailed snake eagle, chestnut flanked goshawk, long tailed hawk, Cassin’s eagle hawk, handsome francolin, black winged pranticole, white fronted plover, and many more. Overnight in Ishasha sector.

Day8

After breakfast we set out to look for hyenas and tree climbing lions of Ishasha, and then visit the Kazinga community before driving to Kigali, through Kambuga and Ntugamo.

Day 9

Cross border at Kagitumba and drive to Kigali, check in hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day10

Kigali city tour, memorial sites, in the late afternoon transfer to Kinigi for dinner and overnight.

Day11

Mountain gorilla tracking, overnight Kinigi. (2nd mountain gorilla tracking)

Day12

Transfer to Goma through Gisenyi overnight Goma

Day13

Nyiragongo mountain hike, overnight Nyiragongo volcano

Day14

Transfers to Gisenyi have lunch and sail to Cyangungu. For dinner and overnight

Day 15

Transfer toKahuzi Biega national park South kivu DRC for Lowland gorilla tracking. Overnight, Cyangungu.

Day 16

Nyungwe forest, exploration and chimp tracking. Late After afternoon transfer to Butare for dinner and overnight.

Day17

Butare cultural and religious exploration, Afternoon transfer to Kanombe airport.
